Privacy Policy — Veil AI

1. Introduction

Veil (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by TensorBoat published on Google Play by Laserpay. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (“App”). By using Veil, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through Google Sign-In, or email/password authentication.
• Profile Information: Preferences you set during onboarding, including gender, relationship interest preference, personality trait selections, and display name.
• Chat Content: Messages you send to AI personas within the App. These are stored to maintain your conversation history and improve your experience.
• Investigation Data: Your interactions within Mystery Room scenarios, including messages to suspects, choices made, and scores achieved.
• Custom Persona Data (Coming Soon): If you create custom AI personas, we store the persona name, description, tone, and avatar selection.
• Purchase Information (Coming Soon): Records of in-app purchases, subscription plans, gem transactions, and gift activity. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play; we do not collect or store payment card details.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: App feature usage, session duration, screens visited, and interaction patterns.
• Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase to collect anonymized usage statistics, crash reports, and performance metrics.
• Authentication Tokens: Firebase authentication tokens used to secure your account and API communications.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Payment card numbers, bank account details, or financial credentials.
• Precise GPS location data.
• Contacts, photos, or files from your device.
• Microphone (the App does not access these currently, it's coming soon) or camera data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Operate AI companion chats, Mystery Room investigations, leaderboards, daily rewards, and gift features.
• Personalize Your Experience: Tailor AI persona responses and content recommendations based on your preferences and interests.
• Maintain Conversation History: Store chat messages so you can continue conversations across sessions.
• Process Transactions: Track gem balances, reward streaks, in-app purchases, and subscription status.
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns and crash reports to fix bugs and enhance features.
• Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, prompt injection attacks, and unauthorized access.
• Communicate: Send push notifications (with your permission) about rewards, new features, or account updates.

4. AI-Generated Content

• All chat responses in Veil are generated by artificial intelligence (AI) models. AI personas are fictional characters and do not represent real people.
• Your messages are sent to third-party AI service providers to generate responses. Messages are processed in real-time and are not used to train AI models.
• We apply content safety guardrails to filter harmful, inappropriate, or manipulative content in both user inputs and AI outputs.
• AI-generated content may sometimes be inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate despite our safety measures. Veil is intended for entertainment purposes only.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication, data storage, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Third-party AI service providers: Your chat messages are sent to generate AI responses. These providers process data per their own privacy policies and do not retain conversation data beyond the immediate request.
• Google Play: For in-app purchase verification and subscription management.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Safety: To protect the rights, safety, and property of Veil, our users, or others, including enforcing our Terms of Service.

6. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) servers.
• All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication tokens are securely managed through Firebase Authentication.
• We implement rate limiting, input sanitization, and prompt injection defenses to protect against abuse.
• Despite our security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update your profile information within the App at any time.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Notifications: Enable or disable push notifications through the App settings or your device settings.
• Withdraw Consent: Stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling the App stops further data collection.

9. Children's Privacy

Veil is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under the applicable age, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Third-party AI service providers (AI Inference): Process chat messages to generate AI responses, subject to their own privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
